Useful information for your stay

We appreciate your choice to be our guest. If you need specific assistance, this directory offers resources and contact numbers that can help during your vacation.

Health and welcome requirements: 

  • a) Vaccination certificate, which must include the first administration of a rabies shot or current booster dose (the validity can be 1, 2, or 3 years), and recently completed deworming treatment (no more than six months before traveling). 

  • b) Animal health certificate, original and non-certified copy, indicating that the animal has been subject to prior inspection and is clinically healthy. The certificate must be issued on letterhead paper with the veterinarian’s professional license number, dated no more than five days before the check in date. 

For safety reasons, pets must wear a visible identification tag at all times.

The weight limit is 10 kg (22 lb).

Leashes are required when pets are moving through the hotel facilities. A muzzle must be used when the pet’s temperament warrants it. For your convenience, we also offer a designated pet-friendly area in our restaurant.

For hygiene and safety reasons, pets are not permitted in the pool area or the gym.

Pet owners are responsible for collecting and properly disposing of their pet’s waste in any area of the hotel, including the beach.

For the safety of our staff, pets must not be left alone in the suite during housekeeping service; their owner must be present at all times.

Any damage caused to hotel property or to third parties will be the responsibility of the pet owner and will be charged directly to their account. The hotel reserves the right to apply additional charges for deep cleaning, if necessary.

Pets may not be left alone in the suite unless they are in a crate or a carrier.

Bathing animals in the suite is not allowed.

Guests must ensure their pet behaves appropriately, avoiding barking or other noises that may disturb the tranquility of other guests.

During the stay, the hotel will provide a pet bed and bowls for food and water as amenities for the pet. Pet food is not included as a complimentary service and must be provided by the owner.

Stays with pets are available only in selected suite categories.

Cost per night is $30 USD plus service and taxes.

GUIDELINES FOR PET-FRIENDLY STAY

MAR DEL CABO

These House Rules are binding for both Mar del Cabo boutique hotel (located at Carr. Transpeninsular Km. 17.2, Cabo Real, 23405 San José del Cabo, B.C.S., Mexico) and for guests who contract its services.

1. We kindly ask our guests to maintain a respectful, courteous demeanor at all times and to observe the safety measures outlined below. To preserve the tranquility of our community, we ask that activities that may disturb the order or the rest of other travelers be avoided. Conduct that violates Mexican law or disrupts the harmony of the hotel may result in the immediate termination of the stay by the administration.

2. The hotel is committed to honoring duly confirmed reservations. In accordance with official regulations, each guest and their companions are required to complete their registration with personal information upon arrival.

3. To safeguard the tranquility of all guests, the hotel reserves the right to deny entry to individuals who appear to be under the influence of substances or whose behavior may compromise the serenity of the environment, other guests, or the staff, as well as when the facilities are intended to be used for purposes other than those for which they were designed.

4. Guests may have personal service staff only with prior authorization from the person in charge of the establishment. In such cases, the registered guest will be responsible for their conduct during the stay. The hotel reserves the right to revoke this authorization in the event of non-compliance.

5. The use of the hotel parking area is complimentary. However, the establishment assumes no responsibility for partial or total damage to vehicles or for items left inside them.

6. The boutique hotel is not responsible for the loss of money or valuables that are not stored in the safety deposit boxes available in the suite from the time of arrival.

7. The use of electrical power for purposes other than lighting is prohibited. Likewise, the use of coolers is not permitted in the pool, beach, gardens, or suite terrace areas.

8. It is not permitted to nail, hang, or place pictures, images, or other objects on the walls of the suites. The use or storage of medicines or substances that generate unpleasant odors or may disturb other guests is also not allowed.

9. The hotel staff will respect the privacy of guests at all times during their stay. Access to occupied suites will only take place when there is a verified situation that may endanger the guest’s safety or upon the guest’s explicit request.

10. For hygiene and safety reasons, the use of T-shirts or other inappropriate garments inside the swimming pools is not permitted.

11. Should a guest experience a health issue, the Reception desk may request medical assistance. The guest may be attended to in their suite. If the illness is contagious and not attributable to the hotel, the guest will be transferred at their own expense to the appropriate medical facility. Management will immediately notify the relevant authorities in the event of a risk of contagion or any extraordinary circumstance. Reception will issue the corresponding receipt or invoice for the services provided.

12. Both the establishment and the guests retain the right to report to the competent authorities any act that may constitute an offense or give rise to liability for either party within the hotel premises.

13. Check-in time is 3:00 p.m., and check-out time is 12:00 p.m. A grace period of 60 minutes after check-out time is granted for vacating the suite. Should an extension be required, the guest must notify Reception and provide the necessary guarantee to apply the corresponding additional charge per person, per night.

HOUSE RULES

14. If a guest wishes to invite an additional person after their original registration, they must notify Reception to process the corresponding charge.

15. The accommodation service must be paid in full upon arrival. For extended stays, weekly payment arrangements may only be authorized by Management.

16. In the provision of its services, this boutique hotel does not engage in discrimination on the basis of sex, religion, political ideology, nationality, or social condition.

17. Animals are not permitted in the suites without prior authorization from Management. If approved, they must comply with the requirements applicable to service animals, companion animals, or therapeutic assistance animals. Authorization applies only to small or medium-sized dogs and cats, with a maximum weight of 10 kg (22 lb).

18. Guests are kindly requested to make responsible and careful use of furniture, linens, and other service items. When leaving the suite, guests must ensure that doors, windows, and water outlets are closed and that the keys are returned to Reception.

19. The hotel has installed a sufficient number of fire extinguishers, water valves, and hoses in various areas for use in case of emergency. In such circumstances, guests must immediately notify the operator.

20. In accordance with the guidelines established by Cofepris (Federal Commission for the Protection against Sanitary Risk), the boutique hotel is a smoke-free establishment, with smoking permitted only in designated areas.

21. Out of respect for other guests, the use of recording devices or sound equipment is not permitted in the pool, beach, gardens, or suite terrace areas.

22. Reserving pool loungers, chairs, or umbrellas in the pool and beach areas is not permitted.

23. Objects or valuables forgotten by guests and found by hotel staff will remain in the custody of the administration for a period of three months. Jewelry and electronic devices will be kept for six months. After this period, if unclaimed, the hotel will no longer be responsible for these items.

24. There are no lifeguards on duty at the beach or swimming pool areas; therefore, their use is entirely at the guest’s own responsibility.

25. Any complaint, suggestion, or comment may be directed to the Reception desk in accordance with the guidelines established by the Mexican Ministry of Tourism (Secretaría de Turismo).

26. In compliance with Official Mexican Standard NOM-07-TUR-2002, published in the Official Gazette of the Federation on December 4, 2002, we inform guests that this boutique hotel maintains a civil liability insurance policy.

27. Any matters not covered in these House Rules will be governed by the Federal Tourism Law, the applicable regulations for lodging establishments, and other relevant legal provisions.

External food and beverage consumption

To preserve the culinary experience designed by the boutique hotel, food and beverages purchased outside our facilities may be consumed in the privacy of your suite.

The consumption of external products is not permitted in common areas, dining venues, or pool areas.

Should guests wish to enjoy their own alcoholic beverages in our public areas or restaurant, a corkage fee will apply, which will be duly charged to the suite account.
